Another class is done!
and here it is the final version of my short...hope you like it!
See you all and see you in class 5!!!!!
The short is done! all the cuts are fixed and polished. I also did the facial expressions...so i consider it finished...I just have to wait for some comments from Dave, to eventually do some retouches.
that's the situation: Cut 1 is done! all the other cuts are at a good point, only the last two need a little more work!
Faces are not polished, i'll do it next week!
Still working on all the cuts at the same time...but some of them need still more work! Up to now there's only the last one which is blocked.
Facial Expression: do you notice someone looking familiar?? :)
3rd pass of polishing in the 1st cut. even if I concentrated more on cuts 2, 3 and 4...which are a little more complex and needed major work! Cuts 5 and 6 are still in blocking :)
The face is still in blocking...it will be the last thing to do!
Worked on the 1st cut, and fixed some problems and polished a little more.
Then i began also to polish cut 2 and 3.
And in the end another facial expressions exercise!
This week i began to polish the short. As you can see i divided the short in 6 cuts, and up to now i polished only the 1st one. All the other cuts are still blocked.
I'm going to polish them week by week.
And as always...facial expressions assignment!
Going on with the blocking, and fixing some problems.
And then facial expressions' assignment again! :)
This week assignment was to shoot the references for the new audio! It took a lot of time however the result was nice :)
Then i did the planning, and in the end i began working on the blocking.
First of all we had to finish our old short.
Secondly we had to choose two audio references from some movies, for the new short. My two audios are from "The Whole Nine Yard" and from "Cool Runnings". I decided to use the second one because it was funnier...and here you can listen to the part i choose.
Thirdly a new exercise: Take some facial expressions from the web and then do them with Bishop
Enjoy it and see you next week!
This week assignment was to polish a little bit more the facial, and the do a revision of the body mechanics following mentor's advices
Here's the result!
My new mentor is..... Dave Vallone!!! David Vallone has been a Character Animator for more than 20 years. He has worked in most all entertainment mediums from feature film, T.V. commercials, gaming, direct to dvd, and theme park attractions. He is trained in both classically drawn and computer-generated animation. Some of his feature credits include, "James and the Giant Peach", "Stuart Little 1 and 2" and "Ice Age." Also, Academy Award winning and semi-finalist short films, "Attack of the Chubb Chubbs" and "In the Rough."
This week we had to do a closeup reference for the face the planning and the blocking.
I really enjoyed it and it was really hard to achieve a good result but I think that expressions add so much to the shot!.
Here u can see them:
